The Programme

Pray from the heart of Jerusalem

The Israel Prayer Tower welcomes volunteers who feel called to serve in intercessory prayer from Jerusalem. You are welcome to join the hours of prayer, worship and biblical teaching that continue around the clock on the 20th floor of City Tower — overlooking the Old City, the Mount of Olives and the Temple Mount.

Volunteers come from all walks of life and from every corner of the globe, united by a shared passion for prayer and a love for Israel. The experience is life-changing — a unique opportunity to pray over Jerusalem from one of the most spiritually significant locations on earth.

Application

Volunteer Application Form

Please complete as much as you can. Fields marked * are required; everything else helps us prepare for your stay. The minimum stay is two weeks.

Before you apply: visas, costs and entry

You arrange your own entry to Israel. The Israel Prayer Tower does not sponsor, apply for or arrange visas, and we cannot influence any decision made by the Israeli authorities.

Most visitors come on a standard visitor permit. If you hold a passport from a visa-exempt country — including the UK, Ireland, the EU, the United States, Canada, Australia, South Africa, South Korea and the Philippines — you must obtain an ETA-IL before you travel. It has been compulsory since 1 January 2025, costs about 25 shekels, and should be applied for at least 72 hours before departure. Apply only at israel-entry.piba.gov.il — other sites add a mark-up. Indian, Sri Lankan, Chinese and most African passport holders need a visa from an Israeli embassy instead, so allow several weeks.

The visit is unpaid and self-funded. You are not employed by us and receive no wage, stipend or allowance. You cover your flights, insurance and daily contribution towards accommodation.

What to have ready when you arrive

  • a passport valid for at least 90 days beyond your planned departure
  • your approved ETA-IL or visa
  • a booked return or onward flight
  • the address where you will be staying — we send this once your dates are confirmed
  • travel and medical insurance valid in Israel

Border officers decide who enters, and an approved ETA-IL is not a guarantee. Answer questions simply and truthfully — describing your trip accurately, as a self-funded visit to a Christian prayer centre in Jerusalem at your own expense, is both correct and the least likely to cause difficulty. Keep the entry card you are given at the airport with your passport until you leave.

Entry rules and travel advice change at short notice. Please check your own government's travel advice and the Israeli Population and Immigration Authority close to your travel date. Last reviewed 31 July 2026.

About You

As shown on your passport.

Dormitories are separate, so this helps us allocate a bed.

Your passport should be valid for at least 90 days beyond your planned departure.

Israeli border officers may ask about recent travel. Telling us in advance simply means we can prepare you — it does not affect your application.

Your Proposed Stay

Approximate dates are fine — we can confirm them with you later.

Minimum 14 days.

It should be valid in Israel for your whole stay and cover emergency treatment and medical repatriation.

Please do not book flights until we have confirmed your application. Border officers often ask to see a return or onward ticket.
